Macchia Nera. Italian for “Black Spot.”
Curious name for a bespoke motorcycle. Definitely unique, the Macchia Nera bears little resemblance to the custom bikes we frequently see.

How unique? Here’s how the plan unfolded. Stefano called on his good friend, Aldo Drudi the famed Italian designer.

“Il Signore Drudi” was given freedom to create a fresh and aggressive design.

LEGGERA

Titanium frame, 157 kg (328 lbs). Starting from the Ducati Hypermotard concept bike, NCR introduces it's first street! By using it's racing and technology knowledge, NCR has worked every aspect and component of the design to make a difference on the track and street. Attention to detail is important at NCR and was fundamental in developing it's first street legal motorcycle. Of course every NCR motorcycle is totally built by hand and built with the ultimate passion to deliver a jewel to the customer.

Some of the main highlights of the NCR Hyperleggera are: - Main frame and sub-frame built with Grade 9 titanium. The main frame weighs only 4.8 kg (10.6 lbs) and the sub-frame weighs only 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs). - The exclusive suspension components were developed in close collaboration with Ohlins in order to deliver highly functional and adjustable components.

- NCR also worked closely with Brembo Racing in order to deliver extraordinary monoblock calipers that improves the brake power - Carbon fiber wheels from BST carry the light weight theme that is synonymous with NCR - NCR adjustable triple clamps produced from billet in avional provide the needed adjustability to adjust for offset - NCR billet in avional fork bottoms, gas cap, rear sets and even titanium pegs and passengers peg holders and so on...

This attention to detail results in a street legal motorcycle that is hyperLIGHT, hyperFUN and hyperCOMPETITIVE. Now imagine more NCR magic with the new NCR Corse 1200cc race engine with 132 hp and further driving down the weight to 135 kg (297 lbs). How is that for exclusivity and passion?

2010 NCR New Blue

NCR NEW BLUE

A project developed jointly with Ducati North America upon their request. This bike is a limited edition, to be used on tracks only, and it is a homage to Cook Neilson's 1977 Daytona victory on a Ducati 750SS, known as OLD BLUE, tuned by Phil Schilling. This was the first victory for an Italian brand in the USA, and therefore a huge boost for that market.

The platform is the new Ducati Sport 1000S 07, completely tuned by NCR and made lighter in all its parts, reaching a weight of 150 kg compared to the 188 kg of the street legal model (that is a weight reduction of 38 kg, or over 25%), and the power has been increased by 40% reaching 116 HP. The engine is the new 1100NCR, components and braking system are of racing origin: everything is made in Ohlins, Brembo and Poggipolini Titanium. The exhaust system is an extraordinary titanium 2-1-2, weighing 4 kg.

The technology employed by NCR relies on new prototyping technology. For example, in the development of the NEW BLUE model, many parts were made using rapid prototyping technology used by NCR/POGGIPOLINI GROUP, which allows to test every component directly from 3D CAD to a functional part using sintered powder. This process eliminates final errors, thus guaranteeing maximum precision, fit and functionality.

MILLONA is the ideal bike to win on the track , to accompany you for a whole racing season, to obtain surprising results, but mostly to feel the sheer pleasure of driving it and the prestige of owning the undisputed best in the two-valves class.
Each MILLONA is entirely hand built, by NCR technicians, with utmost attention and care for the smallest detail and particular.

IThe 2009 Model Year sports important product news, regarding especially:

CHASSIS

further improved thanks to the joint developments of NCR CORSE with Valter Bartolini in the 2006 racing season (6 victories in 7 races). The first relevant news is the Alu4.0 aluminum frame weighing 3.9 kg, which still reduces the bike weight and increases its technical value. This solution
proved its value on the track and so it is now available on the market. The second news is the NCR CORSE monoshock rear suspension with Ergal Alu7075 cylinder from billet, fully adjustable, developed during the 2006 race season and built by Mupo.

ENGINE

upon request it is possible to move from the 1100NCR to the 1200NCR with 121 HP, thanks to the pistons and cylinders kit, titanium connecting rods and valves, NCR CORSE cams kit and other special parts developed ad-hoc by NCR CORSE for Ducati 1000DS and 1100DS. NCR introduces a new clutch system built by Aptc and developed by NCR CORSE: the NCR CORSE custom slipper clutch by Aptc.

EXHAUST

the exhaust system has been completely redesigned and built from scratch, going from the 2 in 1 version to the 2 - 1 - 2 version, standard equipment inox made in the S and R models and titanium made in the ONE SHOT model.

NCR offers the MILLONA 2009 M.Y. in three different versions:

• NCR MILLONA, base configuration;
• NCR MILLONA R, medium configuration;
• NCR MILLONA ONE SHOT, complete configuration.

The MILLONA project has been completely fathered and developed by NCR, starting from the rapid prototyping, an advanced technology belonging to the POGGIPOLINI GROUP, which allows to get from the drawing board to the working prototypes (that can be tested and refined mechanically) of the bike's parts in the shortest time. The frame is made of Cr-Mo and has been developed by R&D NCR engineers. Aldo Drudi provided the design of the bike. The aluminum back swingarm is also completely hand built by NCR. All particulars have been thought of in the smallest
detail and only top-notch suppliers have been selected. The main foundation of NCR products is that of employing all the know-how and technological expertise of the POGGIPOLINI GROUP.
NCR managed to built the only, true, thrilling racing bike .
