Bajaj Pulsar 220 S

Finally Bajaj has launched its Pulsar 220 S the replica of Pulsar 200. The bike looks almost same as Pulsar 200, which was discontinued sometimes back, actually the heart of the bike is same as Pulsar 220 without fairing and the “S” refers to the “street” version of the Pulsar 220 series.

The bike is being criticized by many bike enthusiasts for its looks, which has nothing new to relish, on the other hand the pricing of the bike is kept very prudent by Bajaj, which will definitely attract many towards the new Pulsar 220S

Yamaha YZF 250- R4

Yamaha is going to surprise all of us by launching a 250cc bike on R1 platform at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo if we believe the photograph. To our surprise the bike is called R4 with 250cc engine though ideally it should be R2 or R250 but in any case if it is true that Yamaha is ready to compete (and probably going to win) with Kawasaki in 250cc true sports class, then it really doesn’t matter by what name it is going to be launched, isn’t it?

However Yamaha India have not commented on this but we can expect some surprise as committed earlier by the company’s top officials. Coming to the bike it looks like it is a combination of R1 and R6 and I have a gut feeling that if this bike is ever launched in India it will certainly take lead over Kawasaki Ninja 250R, if priced prudently by Yamaha. What are your opinion guys?

BMW Recalls 2007-2009 K1200 and R1200 Series Motorcycles for Brake Line Problem

BMW is recalling certain model year 2007 through 2009 R1200 and K1200 series motorcycles manufactured from August 2006 through May 2009.

Due to the current routing of the front brake lines, it is possible that during riding, and therefore associated vibration, the brake lines could be under strain. If the vibration/strain is significant, the brake line could split and start to develop a leak.

15532 units are affected.

Answering a Reader Question #82

with which agency are you?

I used to be with Ford's commercial/print division in San Francisco but I am now with Models, Inc., which has an office in San Francisco also but has its main office in Walnut Creek. It's a boutique agency.

Hi Dania! My name is Mahri and I am 14. I was just signed with Ford models and I am 5' 7. Does this mean that I am strictly going to be doing print/ commercial work? I really wanted to go to a higher level, such as high fashion, I know that is a long way off though :) and advice would be appreciated!

Hi, Mahri! First off, congrats on getting signed, that's so awesome! Given your height you are ideal for commercial/print, which is where your agent will more than likely market you. However, if your look is one that their high fashion clients also like, then they will submit you for that type of work as well. Since you are still young, you still have time to grow and should you get lucky enough to reach 5'8" or taller then they will definitely cross you over into high fashion. If you want to know for sure how you will marketed, simply ask them. Make sure to mention your interest in high fashion and see what their feedback is. Your agent is your "go-to" person for these kinds of questions so definitely keep those lines of communication open and ask them anything you have on your mind about your career. They'll take care of you. =)
